Locum Tenens Dentist Wanted
As
part of our network of dentists, Okuji and Associates maintains a stable of locum tenens
(substitute) dentists to assist your practice for doctor coverage. You may find
that you need the temporary services of a locum tenens in the following
circumstances:
- Vacation relief
- Maternity leave
- Disability coverage
- Death
Some state regulations state that a
dental practice can only be owned and operated by a licensed sole-proprietor
dentist, a partnership of licensed dentists, or a dental corporation. Therefore
the surviving spouse of a sole-proprietor licensed dentist may be at risk upon
the death of the dentist. To assist our dental community, Okuji and Associates
offers a pre-transition service to address the concern of an unexpected death of
a sole-proprietor dentist. Please
contact us for more information about this
program.
Our network of locum tenens dentists is licensed in the states of Arizona,
California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
If you are interested in listing your practice as one in need of a locum tenens
dentist, please download, complete, and fax your
"Listing Authorization and Indemnity Agreement".

Dentists and Dental Assistants Needed
(BSBH) - Okuji and
Associates represents a corporate client who has a contract with the U.S.
government to provide dental services for the U.S. military preparing for
deployment overseas. Our corporate client receives a four week notice for requests from the military to provide dental personnel at facilities
throughout the continental U.S. Therefore my client requires a large pool of
temporary personnel to staff these assignments. Since the facilities are on government land, your valid
dental license is acceptable at these facilities. Many of the assignments
only involve taking x-rays and examining the deploying soldiers. Some of the
assignments involve providing operative dentistry. Most of the assignments
have a duration of one to twenty-one days and take place over the weekend.
You only go on assignments that fit your schedule. Our
client is responsible for travel and lodging. Dentists are compensated $500 to $600 per day.
Dentists must have a valid dental license, proof of malpractice insurance,
current CPR certification, and proof of tuberculosis test results. Dental assistants are compensated $164
to $188 per day, based on state of residence. Dental assistants must have a
valid x-ray license, current CPR certification, and proof of tuberculosis
test results. Project managers have participated and demonstrated competency
in previous assignments and are
compensated $275 per day. Project managers are responsible for coordinating
the project logistics and are responsible for the overall success of the
project assignment. You are compensated as an independent contractor and can
expect to receive payment 30 days after you complete an assignment. If you have an interest in
participating in this program to assist our nation's military preparedness,
