About Us
 Okuji
and Associates is dedicated to the concept of "Networking for the Business
of Dentistry" and
was founded by David Okuji, D.D.S., M.B.A., a practicing dentist for over
twenty-five years. He believes that our community of dentists-businesspersons
benefit when we network and share together.
Dr. Okuji graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry
and received his Pediatric
Specialty training from the USC School of Dentistry. He is a clinical instructor
affiliated with the Harvard School of Dental Medicine - Cambridge Health
Alliance general practice residency.
He practiced privately as an associate dentist for five years and then accepted
a position as a pediatric dentist with an international oil company for the next
five years.
After returning from abroad, Dr. Okuji purchased a private practice and obtained
his M.B.A. from
the renowned U.C. Berkeley-Haas School of Business.
As his practice continued to grow, Dr. Okuji purchased and moved to a larger
office and added
associate dentists, other dental specialists, and locum tenens dentists to the
practice. In addition to his clinical practice and teaching responsibilities,
Dr. Okuji continues to network with dentists through his practice brokerage and
consulting duties.
Over his practice career, Dr. Okuji has utilized dental advisors such as
ExperDent; ExecTech;
Mercer Global Advisors; Cain, Watters & Associates; and Collier, Sarner &
Associates. As well, he has practice experience relating to the management of
staff, fee structure, risk, physical plant, and productive patient scheduling.
Dr. Okuji is a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry; and maintains licenses in
dentistry and real estate in the western United States.
